An Important Announcement from Endora

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Sounds like someone out there under-appreciates all the hard work and time you put into this site Robert. Please don't change a thing! (And by the way, those "1960s" graphics and group names are fabulous. Does this person not know you at all? <br
I vote D. In fact, I vote D twice, just because.

Robert:

You DO have a great blender, right <br
I suggest <br
BLENDER HOLLANDAIS <br
3 egg yolk
2 tbsp. lemon juic
1/4 tsp. sal
Dash of cayenne peppe
1/2 c. butte <br
Put egg yolks, lemon juice, salt and cayenne in blender jar. Heat butter in small pan until bubbly. Do not burn. Cover blender and whirl at high speed for 2 or 3 seconds. Remove center section of cover or entire cover and at high speed pour in hot butter in a thin, steady stream. It will take about 30 seconds. Don't use residue in pan <br
Scrumptious on artichokes

D <br
with a small caveat -- I too wish the "offtopic" forum was archived. As the grouser noted, it is, or was, a treasure trove of photos, humor, pathos, drama and, yes, occasionally some naughtiness <br
I hope vacuumland never stops saving its offtopic forum threads....... (hint hint Fred! <br
As someone said, the easiest way to get rid of the gripers is to ask them for their help in implementing their proposed changes and running the site. They'll disappear in a POOF of green smoke faster than Endora can fold her arms.......... <br
Robert, you DO do a terrific job here <br

Go for the choke.

Robert <br
Thank you for allowing me to be a guest here from time to time
I do appreciate the information, spirited conversation, and everything else that happens here because of your time spent and dedication to this site <br
Bill

I like it here as it is.

I love the people, the information, the graphics.

I don't want a thing to change.

This site is usually an oasis of civility and good feelings in an increasingly savage and disturbing age.

Yes, Hollandaise is lovely on artichokes, but so is a nice olive oil vinaigrette.

I am sorry that you had to deal with that unpleasantness, dear Robert.

Fartichoke! Fartichoke! Fartichoke <br
And please post a pic of the transformed victim <br
Thanks heaps Robert for this fantastic site. You would no doubt have the stats to show how many of us visit EVERY DAY, that is its own vote of confidence <br
Whadda noyve <br

The nerve I tell ya that some people have and what they will do to piss off the rest of us. Robert you do a fantastic job and you know if a thread "disappears" dont sweat it. Its your perogative and if it was moi getting that email "suggestion" I would be punting his ass to the curb. Endora would be taking lessons from moi Dahlink.

OK, it would be nice if the super forum was archived, but I've managed to survive without having it around forever <br
Seems to me that somebody might want to go out and start their own discussion website and find out how much fun it must be to administer it when people get pushy, cranky, demanding, unappreciative, mean, etc. (I used to be an IT administrator, can you tell?) <br
I happen to love artichokes otherwise I'd vote "D". <br

It never ceases to amaze me, as I read the threads, the abso

we have here. It boggles my mind that someone with such talent and such a huge work ethic and so selflessly devoted to our happiness, providing us with an unconditionally welcome home for our oddity.....and he just lets people be, never meddling, always seeing the best in everyone, putting out fires without asking questions--THIS IS A PALACE, Turnip Man -- of total freedom and goodwill. How can you not get this??????? <br
ROBERT, WE WOULD BE LOST WITHOUT YOU AND WE LOVE YOU <br
Hey, don't you go callin' me an oddity, Mickey;'D, you freak!!!!!! <br
<br

I'm voting D, Endora.

I'm glad it's not just me who noticed the distinctively "60s" feel of the graphics and colors. I KNEW I wasn't just imagining it <br
Difference is, I happen to love it. You've created not only a fun and interesting site here, Robert, but you've managed to give it a distinctive look. I visit a lot of sites, and yours is one that stands out <br
Hmmm. James Lileks' site is another site which uses fun graphics and has a distinctive look. And he's Minneapolis-based. Interesting <br
Anyway, please don't change a thing (except for the correspondent/artichoke thing). A lot of us know a good thing when we see it <br

Endora~

"It seems the group is made up of older, ( I say older than you and I. I am 40, your what 44?) 50 somethings, 60 something, plus, people who may have once worked in the industry in some capacity. If this is your primary audience, please let me know. I will find greener grass elsewhere". <br <br <br
Honestly,I find this statement to be quite shallow! Why is age even an issue?..I have converse
with members as young as 18 and as old as 60

I believe everyone brings something special and unique to the forum regardless of age or sexual preference for that matter. Personally at age 38, the majority of my friends are older than me. I don't buy into the shallowness that sometimes is ever present within the gay community regarding age <br <br
Lastly, Endora dear, you are so kind. All of us know the time, effort and expense it must take to maintain this site and for that I can and will continue to say thank you. We are all priviledged guests here at AW. So to the person who emailed Robert, I ask you would you ever dream of being a guest in someone's home and telling them how to run it <br <br <br
oh and before I forget, I too vote "D&quot <br <br <br

Oh when I read that line about the being 44 I gasped....and I said oooohhh that Bitch!
My partner was next to me as I was reading the thread and getting a kick out of what was being suggested. He doesnt understand the "family" we have here and I am glad to see I am so not alone in my love for appliances. For the logest time I thought I was an odd ball and when I tell people that there is a website like this they think its funny. I told em laugh all you want but I learn alot here and have made a few friends along the way. And Robert this is a great thread.

The site graphics and group names are very 1960s

Well let's see, ... The air traffic controller is doing an outstanding job from the Control Tower. And incidentally, the control tower is older than "very 1960s". The FAA set up the control tower in 1957 and immediately proved it can rapidly acommmodate 1140 flights per day!!! and as little as 660 (or is it 630) flights too. I'm sorry this particular passenger does not appear to recognize the significance and meaning of the airplanes from 1957--Imperial, Deluxe, and Super. Those aircraft were well ahead of their time in style. And ya know, General Motors did some "Sheer Look"ing airplane production that year in 1957. Again, let me say the air traffic controller is doing an outstanding job. I cannot thank him enough for all he's done to keep all the incoming flights well managed and the airport always well-lit, organized, and welcoming for all flights and passengers. I've met so many wonderful passengers over the years and encountered so many wonderful airplanes from the various airlines range of vintage, I always thought I was the only one in the whole world that loved all of those from the late 1940s on. Now I don't feel so alone <br
So, I have a suggestion for the Air Traffic Controller in the Control Tower. I hear the air traffic controller is on intimate terms with Endora. I think he should avail himself of that friendship and execute C and then D!!!!! It was nice to have the Air Traffic Controller do an overhead PA Announcement so all interested passengers could provide input on how well the flights are being managed <br

i vote for a D

Robert I love this website that you have created, and I stand in awe of it all the time, hardwork, and effort you have put into this website and just coming here everyday makes me feel so not alone in my love of washing machines old and new. I know it is your website to do with as you please, but i beg you the way it is, is the reason i keep coming back everyday to see everyone's reaction to other's new machines whether they be vintage or new, you guys make me laugh, and I enjoy coming here because i now feel like i have friends all over the world like with a love of washers and dryers and other fabulous vintage items. I beg you keep it the way it is and just turn those idiots into artichokes. I think you are doing just fine with this beautiful website Robert, i mean when you created this perfect website. How can you change perfection when it is already perfect.

I say D

D for kiss a fat "D"ogs a** <br
Gee its a shame that there's only room for one site on the internet for interest in appliances.....so of course Robert should change his to accomodate one person....I think not.
