an unexpected piece of laundry detergent history

Hi all,

 

I was in Leeds market during my dinner hour, stocking up on pet supplies. I glanced at a housewares shop walking past and had to do a double take when I saw 3 boxes of ARIEL FUTUR on a shelf. God only knows how long these have been in stock. As far as I am aware, this was discontinued in 1999.

What does it smell of, bet it has that amazing Ariel Smell. Have you used it yet? Did you buy all 3 boxes?

Did you speak to the stallholder about it? Wow, will keep a look out myself, if theres anything else! Dewsbury market has Chinese Surf but I was in a hurry so never got round to getting any! Congratulations on the find.

No, I didn't speak to the seller, but I snapped up all 3 boxes pretty sharpish. I will walk past again tomorrow to see if he has put anymore out and let you know

Thanks Have a scoop for these. My nan had a box of Futur in her cupboard years back, but she used it all up when she ran out of her usual Persil. Glad you enjoy it

WOW!!!

What a find! I loved that detergent. Pity P&G have since been exposed as an unethical company as Ariel Futur did out clean and out smell all other detergents at the time in my opinion.
