Hello all,

I figured I would post an update on my a906, replaced the fill valve after looking into it and figuring out that the cold side was indeed stuck open. However after replacing the fill valve I gave her a try only to find out that the timer was not advancing, and even when it had reached the point of being full it was still calling for water.

I could hear the timer motor running though.

so I guess my question is:

That the water level switch is what tells the timer that the tub is full and to advance to start the cycle, and if something in this cycle of checks was not working correctly ( level switch ) then the system would not advance and continue to call to fill the tub ?

The timer motor will not be energized during a fill portion of the cycle. If it does not advance and continues to fill when the tub is full, you have another problem. Check the air hose coming up from the right-rear side of tub and into panel. This connects to the pressure switch. You may have a crack or dried spot in the rubber that is causing there to be no pressure to the switch. The switch itself could be bad as well but I've found this to be rare.

Does the timer advance through to off when selecting a Spin Only cycle?

I ran the washer in the spin cycle and it seamed to last longer than it should.... using the old trick of using a screwdriver to listen to things (my father was a mechanic) I do hear the timer motor running but... not sure where to go from there
