How old is this thing?  Where's the speed control?

The speed control is on the back of the mixer, just like the later models. This is from about 1935-37. My Grandma had one just like it.

I'd say approx. 1933. Definitely before 1936.

I think Tom is correct about the age, it from before what I had estimated.

The 60th Anniversary Mixmaster from 1990 has that mixer in a picture on the box.

This would be a nice project for someone who has all the missing parts.  For $20 it's not a bad deal even in such rough shape.
