It is going to be a tough one. In the true tradition of Albany politics, let's hope we can find enough dirt on the turncoats to force them to resign and be replaced with fair-minded representatives.

As for the rest, well, history has shown that congressional leaders who support human rights in New York are not punished in the following elections.

This, whether we are granted human status or not, is momentous.

Gay marriage in NYS

While I am hopeful this will pass and become law, I have my doubts. There are several Republicans, AND Democrats who are prepared to block this in the state Senate. They used that tactic last time around when Spitzer tried to legalize gay marriage.
