Arthritis

I know of an elderly lady who (many years ago) bought herself the (then new) center-dial Maytags.
Almost immediately she realized that her arthritis didn't allow her to turn the dials. Through the dealer she traded both machines up to the push-button Maytags (as shown above)... and was happy as a clam.
I guess sometimes there is practicality beside the luxury.

nothing better to do, and i had this short video i took at the Texas gathering at Glenn's house (thanks Glenn!) IMO this is a Bobload. machine fully packed, but notice the definite turnover.

Machine in Video

Was that a 206 in that video? I grew up with that model. It had that distictive black agitator.

It was great to hear those sounds again. And good job in removing the filter to show the water swirling around inside that Powerfin. You don't see that on other washers.

Good job,
James

Those Classic Maytag Washer Sounds

Haven't heard those classic Maytag washer sounds since I was last staying on my relatives' farm four years ago, as they had a Maytag that was made sometime in 1975. Thanks for sharing this video.--Laundry Shark
