the gay fruit-colored cereal. Now I know back then gay was used in place of happy, but seeing the phrase gay fruit-colored now makes me laugh my ass off!

But I was always a Cocoa Crispies kind of kid! Not to mention, Cheerios.

I don't remember Chocolate Malt-flavored cake mix on the store shelves in the tiny town I grew up in, but it sounds great! I always keep malted milk powder in the house, so I should try adding some to a chocolate cake mix. Ditto the frosting. Thanks for posting the recipes, Peter.
