"The Carol Burnett thing is on!!!"

It says something about the deplorable state that television has drifted into when people are falling all over themselves to watch clips of a show that left the airwaves twenty-nine years ago.

I remember when CBS's Saturday lineup included not only The Carol Burnett Show, but All in the Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Bob Newhart Show. Every week.

Now, you're lucky if you find that much watchable programming in a month.

Watched the Burnett documentary last night. I've always loved her. It was followed by a doc on Bob Newhart, whose comedy albums I listened to when I was a little kid. Full disclosure: I'm a documentary whore. I'd watch one on the history of socks, LOL.
