Some time ago, Dave and I brought home a set of 806's, and the previous owner didn't realize the dryer had a lint filter (see link). After I finally figured out how to get the pulley off the back, Dave took it apart so we could clean and lube the machine. It's very clean inside, so I'm posting a couple of pictures. Quick question though, should there be a felt seal in the front of the machine, or is it just the rear that has felt seals?

Enjoy!

Felt seal in front....

Yes there is supposed to be a felt at the front of the drum, on the drum @ the opening. When RedCarpetDrew was down here the end of Jan, we went thru my 806 dryer (cleaning and lubing) and we replaced that felt seal.

MT HOH DRYER LINT FILTERS

When I worked for MT in the 1970s customers used to come in with the lint from the dryer filter thinking that the lint was the actual filter and ask to buy a new piece of lint.I would take the lint and drop it in the trash can and explain that this is lint and its supposed to be thrown away.

While it's torn down that far....

Remove the white fan bushing and the clip behind it (Post# 419465) and remove the drum to lubricate the bushings. There's a felt wick between the bushings that needs to be re-saturated as well.
