The answer in life is not suicide; It's homicide.

A man is like steel-
If he loses his temper he loses his worth.

Remember the person rides and guides the horse, not the other way around. (meaning you control your emotions, not the other way around).

To be civilized one MUST control their temper and their actions; it is what separates us from the animals.

Stress however is caused by holding back the desire (no, actually the NEED) to do a Rambo on someone and smack them upside the head until one sees red. And I do mean on all the walls and floors.

My ethnic group actualy giggles, shakes their head, smiles and walks away. Ya just can't fix stupid. Just walk away with your dignity and know that the opposite of love is not hate, it is apathy. Ignore the bastard!

....and when all else fails take a tranquilizer.

The ladies go shopping to relieve stress. Men, well men sometimes just need to get a grip, and all will be better!

Really good points already made - only thing I can offer is that the closer I get to 30, the less anger there is. The replacement? Stress - mostly from work and added responsibilities like bills, bills, and bills.

Hitting the gym this year has greatly helped with the stress, and the waist line. Gave a purpose for physically pushing myself on the treadmill and the weight bench instead of where it is not appropriate in a civil employment environment.

Those who dont bend, break. Be flexible.

Also, anger comes from stress and stress comes from unfulfilled expectations, and or the inablility to express onself, and get one's point across.

CHANGE your expectations in life and your can't be disapppointed => stressed => angry.

I'm the opposite. I think my patience gets thinner the older I get. However, I do not fume about stuff for long periods of time anymore. Life's too damn short!

I believe I saw some studies on stress from anger a few years back. I was a little surprised at the results. Expressing anger didn't relieve stress, it made it worse. This is probably because of the social complications of expressing anger inappropriately. It is less stressful to take a step back and think about the larger picture, instead of whatever it is that is angering you at the moment. Is it worth getting all worked up over?

I find that I get the angriest when I think I've made a mistake that causes other problems. At which point I find it helpful to try to look at it as a learning experience, knowing that everyone makes mistakes and a bigger mistake is to take a relatively minor error and turn it into an international incident.
