Yes another AW-6 with the 1140 RPM spin and in beautiful running condition found on Crags list by our Jeff M [ Moparguy ] from Va, it was found in the western hills of Pennsylvania outside of Pittsburgh, Ted and I rescued it a few weeks ago.

This washer has no rust on it at all, apparently it was only used a few years and then sat all this time in a dry basement covered with a cloth.

It is amazing what is still out there, the only thing wrong with it is the electric drain pump is dead, but I have a spare in excellent condition. Model# Tag

Just beautiful John! That makes three known AW6 washers to exist. There were only three main designs of this machine, the 1947, 1948 and 1950 models. I have the '47 and '48 and you have the '50 so we now have all of them in our collective collection!

Those are the best rescues! They look so good when you first see them and the (almost) religious experience continues by finding the absolutely pristine condition inside, under the panels. Just about the only thing missing is the box it came in. Nice rescue and the nice find award goes to Jeff for locating her!

under her skirt! Interesting to note the filter flo is gone and will be until 1955? or '56? This is pretty plane jane compared to the '57. Is that tub cast iron? Or is it steel sitting in a cast iron yoke?

More pics please, video, all the usual. Congrats and very cool machine. The motor/tranny pump everything looks like a pretty simple design, thank god, easier to restore.
You just never know what's in someone's basement when no one moved out of a house in 50+ years!

What an excellent find, John. It's as if time stood still---beautiful shape. Congratulations! Funny that a machine from 1950 has almost twice the spin speed of one from 2012 (the Immersion Care).

I think one or two other original GE's had a knob/dial on each side. What's the difference in these few known models? John, it's so rare I think you opened a can of worms with questions and interest.
