anyone looking for a MM 3-in-1 center, chk out Alex, VA...
condominium community we used to live in called Auburn Village. Located about 1 mile so of Crystal City. ALL the 200 +/- units had these installed when the place went condo in 80 or 81. At the time I knew nothing about classic appliances (1993) and several local appliance dealers said that the DW was not a separate unit and due to the cooktop design one could not simply switch it out with say a Kitchenaid (their words, not mine). I gave up with trying to upgrade with the final verdict from a local MM repair shop. So, we kept the unit whole until we sold in 2002. All was still working then. If you live in that area you could leave your # with the mgt as they publish a newsletter (sorry I no longer have it but area code is 703). Some of these condos have been undergoing major renos since '02 and you could probably pick one up for nothing at the curb. Cooktop and oven worked wonderfully, DW did too but was noisy.
