Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi All.

Gary-
I cant remember my old Hoover logic ( not Eco version) having a "tumble" after the final spin ,prior to dry mode..
It was a 1988-89 model so they may have "corrected" that blurb as pointed out by Rolls rapide's above.
P.s-I dont think it had a spin balance control either !
It was very noisy if the laundry wasnt balanced in the drum.
Infact - I once recall some sort of metal plate on the underside of the machine shaken loose and then fell off the bottom of the unit!
Regards.
Louis.

2 days indeed Gary....

....I need a break too!

How do all.

Hi Matt - your dates are right - the ecologics were 1991/92 products, replaced by the New Waves circa 1993.

Hi Seamus - First generation Logics were 1987, models numbered in the A35XX series.

1988 saw the A36XX series - A3638 being one of them.
1989 into 1990 saw the A37XX series and the abandonment of the timelines (agree Seamus - they do look smarter than the small window).

There were a load of Logic models, numbered in the A38XX series, for which I have little or no info at all. Whether they went exclusive mad, I dont know, but I have never seen a brochure for any of these machines which I assume were 1990/91 machines.

These then lead to the Ecologics in 1991, numbered in the A39XX series, and the free flights fiasco.

Any help with the A38XX machines - very gratefully received.

Cheers
Paul

YAY for Square door Hoovers

Congratulations on your new machine. It is beautiful and I am sure that when you fix it up it will be beautiful for many years yet!

Spin Balance

Hello Louis

The logic range did not have a spin balance control (where as the computer control A3308/3684 did)

What they fitted was a balance switch, if the drum shook too much the switch would make contact and this would cause the motor too slow down until the balance switch stopped making contact.........a sort of feeble attempt at prolonging the life of the bearings.

Deplastering was a feature on some of the early machines, maybe Hoover ran out of click positions on the programmer to have this feature, i cant say i can remember mine slow tumbling now......

PAUL

Even less now!

Gary
