Teacher School!

It's now 1981 and here's my college graduation picuture from "teacher school." I'm off to make my fortune. Graduation from Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island with my B.S. in Business Teacher Education (I was the typing teacher you hated). Court reporting school followed later.

Hair Dryer

David, I looked on ebay at the yellowbird, that is similar to the model I had, well still have, probably still under the front bathroom sink in the box over at my parents.

GregM: No question about who you look like. I like the wedding picture as well, what a handsome couple! My parents got married a few years after yours did, November 27, 1955.

This thread just keeps getting better and better!

Rocky, you look like a cross between John Travolta and Scott Baio. Only sexier!

David, you're so cute and except for the hair color, you haven't changed a bit--I'd recognize you anywhere!

Ron, I'd never have recognized you from your HS photo, but you've hardly changed at all since the college graduation pic was taken. The hairstyle's a little different, that's all! LOL

GregN, I had Big Jim too, though not Big Josh. Weren't they dreamy? Those biceps that could break that silver band... If Big Jim didn't actually make me gay, he at least sealed the deal!

And GregM--you're giving me palpitations!

DavidC: I don't have a professional blow dryer, preferring to sit under my Lady Schick "Le Salon" while I read the paper. But don't forget--Secret Santa time is approaching!

Ok, I'll share too

This one was taken at my friend Jimmy's 50th birthday party (that's him on the right). NOW, we're the same age. Jeff, I was reading one of the other threads and our parent's anniversary is the same date, 11/27. The difference is my parents were married in 1952.

Hi Jimmy FF...thanks, it wasn't really live water action back then, but when I take a bath now it is! Ha!

Hi Rick...The 55 set I have are now are not my grandparent's machines. But watching their set as a kid is what made that particular washer and dryer my dream machines and why I have them now.

thank you

thanks for the comments folks :), I wish more in the club would join in ........ seems like only a very small # so far have posted older/fun pics but thanks very much to those who have. I hope its been fun for you. That was the intention.

Okay Gary since you asked...............

Here a few more from cracked and fading scrapbook.

This would be September of 1973 or 1972. Big hair and Daisy Dukes. One of the best pictures of me looking like white trash complete with cigarette, cocktail and Viet Nam POW bracelet.

Just when you think..........

there could only be one, here I am with my twin sister have cocktails before a night out on the town.

Nik-Nik shirt with white pants for me, overized glasses and Levi mini for Elly---"Silver Convention" with "Fly Robin Fly", (long version), is playing in the backround.

Cica. 1974/75 most likely. Tarreytons, Bud tall and ring on the middle fingers, WAY COOL!

Double your pleasure, double your fun

the twins strike again!

Just looking at this you would have to wonder why my parents didn't realize I was gay before I did!

I mean those suspenders, that shirt, the hooked index finger in the pants loop, the glasses. Whew, where is the extinguisher?

Oh Baby!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm cutting, pasting and framing that one!! I bet we would have been a killer dance team on the floor of any disco.

Just a smidgeon of cheek and cowboy boots---WOOHOOO!!

more high school yearbook drama

"And then do you know what that btz said? She said she's going to the New Kids concert but you and I know she's SUCH a liar."

OMG, the hair...the unplucked brow...the GLASSES! What optician let someone with a -8 prescription get frames that huge!? And those WERE the then-recently-invented high-index thin lenses.

This thread is SO much fun.

T.
