These are some beautiful clocks guys! Rick, I do like the "black clocks" very much, my aunt had one in her living room for many years but it never worked that I remember. I see them from time to time at sales, I'll have to pay more attention to condition, etc. I grew up with a chiming clock in the house and would really like to have one of my own. My mother has a beautiful wall-hung clock, when it was new we were awakened every hour as the sound wasn't usual but after a couple of days we got used to the chimes and were amazed that we didn't notice them as much.

Beautiful Clocks. My father in-law is a clock fanicier. He made I am not sure how many clocks. He buys the works from a comapny up in the Boston MA area, called Mason and Sullivan. When we got married he made us a Westminster Chime wall clock and when we bought our house he helped us paint and clean the Hardwood floors. One weekend I was over his house using the work shop and he asked me to help him put the trim on a full sized mahogany Grand Fathers clock he was making for a friend he worked with. About two weeks later he pulled up in my drivway with the clock, here is was for us. I have lost count on how many clocks he has. Antigue ones, ones he made and i don't know how many cuckoo clock. They are all syncrhonized to chime , ding or cuckoo at the same time. He has one he made that he carved completly out of wood, including the gears. We laugh when that comercial comes on tv (i forget what it is for) but the guy had one spot on the wall for a clock and they show thousands of people with a clock in hand for him.
