I've seen the videos of the graveyard in texas and now I hear there is one in Arizona. Are there any such washer graveyards in Ohio? I seriously hope so cause I would love to visit one and take in the sights. I would be like a compass near north!!!

HOPE SO!!!

That'd be wonderful to find such a place ! ! !
Not so far from Toledo here...NE IND would luv to go on a washer hunt...hope someone posts with good news ! ! !

When you have the time get your "yellow pages" out and look up washing machine or appliance repair people. Call every one of them and ask them who has these graveyards. They know!!!!! Some of them may try to blow you off but be persistent and someone will suddenly think of someone somewhere----

I have found by explaining my mission----the search for vintage machines/parts, people are more helpful.

But DON'T DELAY! Every day more and more municipalities are passing ordinances prohibiting "junkyards" and are forcing the existing ones to haul EVERYTHING to the krushers. I can't tell you how many times I've been dissapointed because I was a week or a month too late!

Have fun 'fishin and good luck!

Oh----I almost forgot

Be sure to question whomever you talk to about the "old timers"(who used to do appliance repair or still do) in your area----most of them retired. See if you can get their numbers or ask if someone would mind having them call you. The old timers know where EVERYTHING is or was. A fantastic resource!

Where is the one in Arizona?

How about So Cal?

I've been searching here, but it appears that the recyling centers are it. Seems they don't even take the older stuff to Mexico anymore.

Thanks,
Joe
