eBay Acution for Temp Buttons

Howdy Khodabear -

I wanted to let you know there's an auction going on on eBay right now for a button gang, but for four temperature selections (Hot/Warm, Hot/Cold, Warm/Cold, Cold/Cold) and you need three.

You may still want to contact the vendor since he looks like a parts guy and perhaps he has freshfaced buttons for your new machine.

Good luck and nice snag ... I should be so lucky <sniff>. Slim pickings in Palm Springs...

Make sure you get the correct buttons. Some fit on a vertical shaft, some fit horizontally. Nice machine!

...you're gonna love this,

and look what's embossed on the back of that "Maytag buttons" control circuit block. (it's a badly focused shot, but that does read: GENERAL ELECTRIC)

It's almost like an omen of all the dirty rebadging that was/is to come.

Now I get it.

I ran her up in the driveway. No leaks - no noise - tight as a drum. I never stood and watched a single white hand towel swirling in the water of my Mom's machine. I just did. It's amazing to watch.

What a treat this machine is.
