That beautiful blonde girl in ABBA, Agnetha Faltskog, 56 yrs. old now just came out with her new album, "My coloring book". I am in shock and pleasently convulsing on my floor in pure extacsy. Me and my Hoovers will have a date tomarrow. You guys look her up too.....Bill in Az.....

I looked it up on Amazon

and the spelling is "My Colouring Book," the European style, with a "u."

I don't know if I have to own it, but I do know I have to hear some of it.

After all, I am a 45 year old American homo. Of course ABBA was a big chunk of my adolescent music. Every time I turned on the radio, ABBA was inescapable, and depending on the song, I didn't want to escape. What are some of your (I'm asking everyone) favourite ABBA cuts? I loved "The Name of The Game," and "Waterloo."

I just bet that some will say their favourite ABBA cut was "Dancing Queen." (Am I looking at dear, sweet Toggle?)

Yes,I remember Abba-used to work at a top-40 radio station at the time-running the transmitter site-her records were among the only ones I didn't mind hearing over and over-she got hourly airplay.I have a DVD video "album" of her songs-its pretty neat.As well as her CD's and a few record albums of her songs.Great music.Just about all of her songs were played by that radio station.

'Dancing Queen'

I love ABBA......Have many of their CD's as well as many songs on 12" Vinyl. I have a great compilation of their songs......'Thank you for the Music'.....with lots of color photos and history.....4 CD's.
I play ABBA often in my car and it always continues to be a great hit while vacationing in Ptown.

Abba Rocks!

As a "card carrying family man" Abba is essential to my well being! My loving partner, however, is missing the Abba gene and protests loudly I cue them up on my computer which is 2 feet from his! Of course, being born in 1971 and raised in Germany until he was 16, he missed the disco era and ABBA! He even hid my Abba Gold CD, thinking he would have some peace. But, he forgot about LimeWire! Now he gets no piece ...and still hears ABBA.

Dancing Queen ( out of loyalty) but Fernando is my favorite.

Take it from this 35 year old hetero

ABBA was hot (the girls, of course)

Why YES I love ABBA. I'm hoping to snag a copy of ABBA Gold LP for the laundry room. Another perfect wash-in album.

And who can forget the misread lyrics: "Olly ox and free... take a chance of me" (the real thing: Honey I'm still free, take a chance on me).

ABBA!

One of my all time favorite groups. Their music will put anytone in a good mood. Ah 70's music I still love it!!!
Dancing Queen, Waterloo, etc

Well, you guys got me into the mood to go cruising around in my old 900 Turbo with the top down and my ABBA cd's cranking :)

I got my affection for those cute gals from my Father, who was a major fan of them. He played his ABBA albums frequently in his old Fisher stereo, and in the car when we went traveling. Dad also had a crush on Olivia Newton John from that same era. Again, I can't blame him. She's also a cute blond, and a very talented singer too!

I've got a few CD's of ABBA and ONJ that I've bought over the years, plus some vinyl that I bought at the used record stores and yard sales around here. I've always liked the bouncy beat of Super Trooper and Winner Takes it All (good ones for a wash-in)

Heavens, I still have Dancing Queen and Waterloo on 45s!

Didn't Barbra Streisand or someone like that have an album called My Coloring Book?

veg (colors outside the lines, as if you couldn't tell)

Mama Mia

Is my favorite track, and if you've not seen the musical, you need to because its spectacular!

I loved ABBA, "Dancing Queen" and lets not forget "S.O.S.", sad but dramatic and easy to listen to. They were played on 13Q the rock A.M. station in Pittsburgh. If you lived in the burgh and wanted to win money in the 70s you never answered the phone "hello", you answered "I listen to the new sound of 13Q!!!". You can imagine the reaction from people calling from out of town!

Ugh, ABBA!

*Love* them!

Their music is SO timeless.. I can listen to it over, and over, and not get sick of it..

And, I second what Jeff said. Mamma Mia! is a FaNtAsTiC show! It's coming to Milwaukee November 21-26.. *Yay* Tickets aren't on sale yet, though.

To clear up some confusion-perhaps.

I used to be, used to be a big Streisand fan. I haven't been a fan since the second Broadway album, but I couldn't let any potential confusion linger.

There was a ballad on "The Second Barbra Streisand Album" called "My Coloring Book."

Then, there was a tv special (her first one broadcast in color,) called "Color Me Barbra," and there was an album of the same name released almost simultaneously. This album is the one with the Elinor Bunin cariacature sketch as the cover.

No mention at all on "Color Me Barbra" of the song "My Coloring Book."

My current canary is Kate Bush.
