Just wondering if anyone has any info to the message (thread 16852) I posted in regards to the Speed Queen lids.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. And, to sweeten the pot, I just MIGHT make a YouTube video of the Speed Queen washing it's little heart out. Now, you all would like to see that, wouldn't you?

What little experience I've had with the Speed Queens involved the apartment pay-type washers. Behind the tub to on the right side was a switch that could be held in either the up or down position (I don't remember which) to allow the machine to run with the lid open. The right side lid hinge had an extended piece which (when the lid is lowered)would engage the switch. I don't know if you are dealing with the same type of mechanism or not. Good luck! I'd like to see the videos.
