Seems like the remodeling folks have watched a few too many of those renovation TV shows. You know the ones that go in with sledge hammers and just beat the living hell out of everything. It is clearly to add drama and interest to a show for the people that don't appreciate craftsmanship.

The one thing I never got in about the demolition idea, while I realize that all the cabinets etc may be going, I'm not sure its a good idea to "tenderize" the framing and the structure of the home!!

As an aside these shows are likely the same ones that forced all modern kitchen remodels to have granite counters and stainless skinned appliances...

I went back one last time to look for it, but there was no sign. Those roofing shingles were thick in that pile. I'd love to have found the kitchen sink as well, but I suspect it's under the roof sadly. I'd love to find one in nice condition with a good hoodie (sp) ring for my eventual kitchen remodel. I have a stainless one, but it's just not the same.

Hey fellas,

As much as I hate to do it, I'm thinking about letting this one go. Realistically, I'm not going to cut up my original knotty pine cabinets for a dishwasher and I can find something later if I move to a house where I need to replace a modern one to make it more vintage. It's in pieces as you've seen but is in good shape on the whole and could be repaired relatively easily. I've already had people write me about certain parts (the motor and top), but I'd rather sell it as a whole machine. If I decide for sure to let this go, is anyone interested in buying the whole machine from me? IF not does anyone want to buy any of the other parts? I haven't decided 100%, but I'm definitely leaning that way.
