Why would anyone buy that stuff when they can get it for same price or less at local supermarket?

Now if they were selling Persil, I'd be happy to drive to Buena Park (50 minutes from here) to pick it up. But as sudsmaster pointed out, why not just go to Costco?

I did have two large bottles of Purex liquid (non-HE) that I gave away to a neighbor when my FL arrived.

I've used Purex He liquid and it does a respectable job for the price - rinses well too.
