Anyone know what this might be for?

It has original lights on the inside with a short power cord that hangs almost to the bottom of the glass.
Looks to me like it was probably a counter display for a compresor? - maybe it had a base of some kind with a grove for the glass?

I would love any info anyone has so that maybe I can recreate what it may have looked like originally!

that was a display for the 1930's WattMiser fridge compressor! Anybody want to chime in here?
