Just buy the darn thing! *LOL*
Hoover twin tub washing machines aren't that heavy, and can go via UPS if properly crated or boxed really well (strong wood or other type of base so wheels don't poke through). My Hoover TT was shipped from the Mid-West in just this fashion with no damage. Long as unit is not stood on it's side or upside down during transit things should go well. Not much inside of a Hoover TT to "break" either, it is nothing more than belts, motor and hoses really. Unless someone whacks it with a mallet,forklift, or drops the crate, kind or hard to damage the unit.
Many shipping supply places like U-line even sell crates ready made.
Contact the seller and offer to make it worth his time. Chances are the unit won't fetch that much locally, and he may welcome the additional sale price doing some leg work may bring.
