Has anyone tried the DW detergent available through Dollar Tree stores called Sun Sensations? I find it works great as long as we use a rinse agent. It contains enzymes and is made by Huish in Salt Lake City. Despite friends being ahgast that we do NOT rinse our dishes, just scrape, they always come out clean. Used to buy Cascade complete but this is now our regular detergent.

The only sun product i've ever used is there all fabric bleach.. Not bad, but Viva or Clorox 2 works alot better

Yes,

I have used Sun Sensations dishwasher detergent, and it worked well for me.

However, I am currently using Top Crest, which is somewhat more expensive, but it comes in a much larger box, and since I do a lot of dishes, and have been known to use enzyme dishwasher detergent as a laundry booster.....

Most Sun- Huish products I've tried have worked quite well. I have a tub of their Oxygen powder right now.

YES

I liked the product. I think most people fear it b/c of where it is sold. SUN laundry detergents are now very predominently displayed at stores like Wal-Mart and Target so it looks like they just need to push the dishwasher product a bit better. I have not seen it reviewed by Consumer Reports though. Overall not a bad price for $1.

I have tried the Sun DW detergent and it does OK. Someone Bought me the shore scent Automatic DW detergent gel from Resttoration Hardware nad it does OK but not on pots and pans. Plus the scent is OK and doesnt smell too much. I did try the new Cascade Complete w/ hydroClean bleach. That stuff does an excellent job on everything. I did notice for awhile that Cascade would leave these rust marks on my silverware. They would rub off but what a pain. Now I have not had that problem since this new version came out on the market.

I've Tried It

I love it! It actually does a better job in our little Kenmore 18 inch portable than the Cascade does. The enzymes tend to break down the smaller food particles better than Cascade. We haven't found a YUK particle on a glass since buying it, and we no longer have to pre-rinse or use the longer cycle.
