I don't know where to find that info. If '24' is the width, it's 24" wide.

It leaves tiny bits of food everywhere. I've been unable to resolve it, and we're really tired of dishes with dried-on food bits. The upper wash arm is clear of food and debris. The plastic rings found in the lower and upper wash arms were worn, so I replaced those. I ran a hot cycle with finish dishwasher cleaner. That helped the first time. But the problem came right back the next wash. I removed the drain hose from the washer and inspected - looked ok to me. It drains fine. But it manages to leave very, very tiny bits of food all over the dishes.

KD24 or KD25 refers to the model number. The full model and serial numbers can be found on a tag affixed to the left edge of the tub trim, visible when the door is open. The serial number is coded for the manufacture date.

Could be underfilling due to buildup in the water valve filter screen. Dishwashers are timed filled.
I would at least take it apart and check the filter pump screens and make sure the chopper blade is still intact.

It does not hurt to check the inlet screen for blockage, but it is most unlikely unless every other aerator and showerhead in your house has also become blocked, the valve diaphragm fails in inlet valves, taking apart and cleaning it doesn’t do any good, it needs a new in my valve if it’s underfilling.
I’ve never seen a grinder fail in a power, clean dishwasher that would cause a problem with particles on dishes I’ve seen objects destroy them, but this Results in a motor that is jammed and it won’t drain or Run at all.
Hi Dan, in the video you linked there was nothing wrong with that dishwasher. There was no reason to replace the impeller or the grinder unless he was just doing it for the exercise.

Yes, W10844024 is the current replacement valve, Be sure to check and see whether your valve is underfilling, to do so open the dishwasher door while it’s washing after it has stopped filling and see how much water is in the bottom of the tub. The entire floor of the tub should be covered with water, nearly a half inch deep, the other test you can do is when you open the door add 1 gallon of hot water and close the door and see if the washing sound is more vigorous also open and close the door several times and make sure the upper and lower wash are in a different position each time you open the door make sure they’re both turning.
You should be using a good quality dishwasher pod in the dispenser for this dishwasher for best results. You should also add at least a tablespoon of either liquid or powdered dishwasher detergent in the small compartment next to the detergent dispenser or just put it on the inside of the door before you start the machine . For hard to clean items like cooked on dried on food try using the high temperature wash option as well.

Thank you for helping me try to fix the issue. I checked the water level between the fill and the first rinse. The photo is below. I think there was more than 1/2" of water all around the tub. The heating element was not touching the water, and maybe it's not supposed to. The little cone ka-jigger was a bit in the water, not by much.
I added about 1 gallon of water at this point. Then again after the wash + drain, before the final rinse. And I think the dishes were cleaner. There were still bits of food, but it was improved.
Does anyone still think a new inlet valve will solve it?

I posted the video as a guide for taking the machine apart, not replacing the seal, impeller, and grinder. I've taken a few of these apart and found both odd and radical things inside them that caused the machine to underperform.
The poster did the video as a source of information to help viewers repair their dishwasher which was certainly nice of them, even if they're doing to sell appliance parts for revenue. I have given them my business a few times just for that reason.

The cone-thing is a float/switch for overfill detection in case of an incomplete drain, being that fills are timed. The float doesn't control the normal fill level, nor will it stop a flood if the inlet valve physically seeps or hangs-open. There's a flow-restrictor in the inlet valve to moderate the GPM rate over a range of supply pressures.

Is there any kind of surging sound coming from the machine when it’s running?? Like an uneven pace of the motor and pump? And if so, does that sound go away when you add water to it? That right there would signify it’s under filling and would be a easy diagnosis. The hum of the motor will ramp up and down if you get what I mean and the pressure of the water inside will sound accordingly, as a constant uneven pressure. The water level isn’t supposed to submerge the heating element but should come right up to it.
What are you loading into the dishwasher? Are you scraping food away or leaving big hunks of food on dishes? Or is it moderate small to microbits of food soils?? It’s probably also time for a deep sump cleaning and to make sure everything is in good condition down there, it’s a very easy process to do. Someone linked a video here on how to get it apart but his reply has mysteriously vanished. This is a VERY well built dishwasher, and the most powerful residential dishwasher they ever made, not to mention the most notoriously reliable dishwasher so it’s worth every penny to repair and keep, especially in the beautiful condition it’s still in. Hope this helps!
