Apple or Android?

just bought a bogo (2 fer) iphone 6s plus at sprint, after our att&t 5s'. Sprint also had a 50% off deal for att switchers that saved on the bill, free shipping and no setup fees. So all in minus the taxes paid ($175) our monthly should be the same DESPITE the new TOL phones being financed over 24 months. So compared to att at least, nearly free and significantly better phones.
Meaning depending on the deal and what desktop you run, either Android or Apple may be the one imo, having used both equally over the last 4 plus years.
But i should mention our Samsung Galaxy's were toast and/or worthless at 2 years, while our 2.75 year old 5s' will be sold to happy new owners.

Restoring an Android phone/Tablet is no different than an Isomething.  You simply log into your google account and in a matter of minutes all your apps are there and your accounts have been setup.

 

Don't get me wrong, if you so desire there is no need to tinker with your android phone.  It's no different than and Apple that way.  Only major difference is you CAN if you want.

The only android device I've seen completely 100% restore seamlessly was my Nexus 5. Once. After that I've done android restores and It's never quite completely restored everything. Usually the apps and content come back (most of the time) but the settings revert to default.

I am a tinkerer but I really prefer to stick with purely mechanical things, plumbing (I'm sure some have found my YouTube channel), electrical, vacuum cleaners, cars etc etc. (I kinda shy away from the cars though since they're largely computers on wheels anymore). I do tinker with the computer related stuff too, but it's generally out of necessity or desire for something to operate as I wish. I do find ISP and home networking tech fascinating though, gotta have a smooth functioning network for all that streaming we do these days.

Tempted by the IPhone SE but would have to take it out on contract as far too expensive to buy upfront. I would get it on the EE network because that is the best for coverage on 4G in my area.
