I came across this GE washer and matching dryer on craigslist, they look to be in decent shape on the outside.

About how old are these I'm assuming 80's, I'm also assuming it is still a filter-flo.

Although newer than I wanted and lacking a lighted console and most likely missing a mini wash I figure it is better than no filter flo in my life.

Grab them

Great price. Filter Flo's are aggressive, powerful washers, great rinses, fine extraction, clean filtering. The dryer looks high-end, 3 heats plus air fluff, they are easy to work on. Matched set, GE, $100? Grab them.

ge them!

Yes, I would grab them if I were you. I have a similar set, onlyslight differences, from 1986.

The filter-flo's can be packed to the max and you still get turnover. As much as I like my Frigidaire 1-18's, if you reach a certain point, in the load size, turnover just seems to stop. The Filter-flo's somehow manage to cope even when you cram in everthing you can fit into the tub (which I don't recommend.)

Ditto to everything above...good extraction, very good rinsing. The best washer I have for removing lint and animal hair from clothes/bedding, etc.

Fairly simple to make most repairs and a lot of the parts you need you can find on Ebay.

you mean like these?......1985's......oh, we can add the minibasket feature......What do you want to know?..............that also appears to be the single speed "kick ass" version.....a few changes and it can be a two speed as well....

Sam that is a nice set !

I would get them and then you could put lint free sheets on your beautiful line in super I saw.

What a great line.. I can smell your sheets here in Phila lol.

Nothing like the power of fresh air and well launderd sheets and clothing.

That I no you do well.

GET THEM.

Martin ...you better be nice or I will point out something to the club, you no what I mean lol.

Little Bugga.

I got this machine from my service guy he found it in someone's home not used much.

Just a very little oil drips.

It was so nice of him to bring it over to me ..he said I knew you would appriciate the

machine because I collect and he did not want it to go to the crusher.

Hey it was free no lights Sam ether here, but does the job.

And the sound of a GE FF is the best part anyway.

I have not hooked it up, but it sounds very healthy.

Pic 2.

Tub looks good.

Mike ( Dishwashercrazy ) sent me a FF pan.

This did not come with it.

Most likely one of those households that maybe thought it was a nusiance.

I had a GE Rim Flo when I brought my house, but I upgraded to a Maytag FL set...I wish it was an older GE FF because I would have kept it...you guys are right about the awesome cleaning power of the GE FF and the turnover rate and extraction is unmatched...I sooooo wish they still made machines like that one.

They look like a nice set.  Washer looks BOL and dryer MOL electric.

There is no guarantee the washer is 2 speed.

The handsome man feature is an option that can be ordered from the parts store.
