Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Yes! Finally! Although when it washes it sounds different than Fisher & Paykel washers with an agitator. I know this because DADoeS posted a few short vids of his IWL12 Intuitive Eco. The sound of his washer sounded more like my Kenmore Elite Oasis: "Swoosh! Swoosh! Swosh!" Also, the Eco Active wash reminds me of the Stain Treat Catalyst cycle on my Oasis. It flushes detergent with a small amount of water so there is a high concentration of very reactive detergent. The it sqrays it onto the load as it spins slowly. Then, it gains speed up to delicate spin speed to squeegee the load. Then the process is repeated for 4 minutes. Also, were you washing that load in conventional mode or HE mode? Did you use softener rinse or regular sprasy rinse? Did you use the bleach option? I've read online reviews of the AquaSmart and they call the AquaSmart's bleach handling option "undesirable" because you choose the "Bleach" option when you start the cycle. Then, after 8 minutes of washing, it stops and beeps at you and you need to pour in the bleach and press start to continue. Yes, no timed blech dispenser!

Gee... Stop eating sugar... Might be polite to say thank you for the video or something along those lines... NO BLEACH AT ALL.

Sorry. Thanks for the video. Somtimes I forget this kind of stuff. Stupid social skills problems!

Interesting video, thanks for posting. I remember after college I bought new a Sanyo 8-10 lb. washer with a baseplate agitator like yours. Mine would fill the tub completely with water so that you had rollover with the clothes. It washed pretty well. Is there a load setting on yours or does it conserve water by washing this way? Would be interesting to see if it filled up all the way how the clothes would roll over.

I guess a company with the reputation of F&P wouldn't market something that wasn't top drawer. It doesn't seem to do much on the rollover stakes but it is obviously more than enough to get the right results!

I'm sure it's a good machine, but I can't help thinking that it looks rather violent. The clothes are being bashed around against that base plate agitator.

Thanks for the F&P video.

I found it very interesting, but disappointing as far as the action of the machine. I have an F&P Intuitive and am glad I have an agitator as opposed to the plate. It appeared that the clothes just didn't do anything but basically sit there.

Very interesting.

Next time, I'm going back to front load.

Yes it does actually have "blooming" as F&P refer to it... The clothes DO tumble... Final spin speed on that cycle was 1000rpm.
