I use this detergent in my old-school Kitchenaid.  It also has chlorine in it like the stuff from Worldwide Janitor.  So far I a very pleased with its performance.  I can tell a difference when Tony does the dishes with chlorine based gel and when I do them with this.  I think it does a better job than the Cascade fryer boilout does.  I have a water softener and had to abandon using ANY pods/packs in my dishwasher...it would foam out the door!

Leave my pods alone!

I just hate it when they mess with these pods. I use them for my family's laundry and I'd hate for them to be discontinued! Consumer Reports should just leave my tide pods alone! And NO!!!! I've never eaten them nor will I NEVER eat them! I know better than that! So should college students!

Eating Tide Pods

Makes me think of something equally as dumb, A Good friend of mine ran the furnace service dept for a large oil company in my hometown, one day back in the 60s he said a man called and asked him, Mr Jones, if I mix a gallon of gas with 5 gallons of fuel oil and run it thru my oil furnace will it clean it out, James said Damn right it will clean it out, and hung up..LOL

No! They're not!

They're dangerous! If you want to do the tide pods challenge, do a load of dark colored clothes with blood on them with a tide power pod heavy-duty laundry detergent on the normal cycle and cold water. I did this yesterday with my Kenmore elite front loader with a load of blues, one of which had blood on a pair of jeans. I used the usual normal/casual cycle with cold water with accelawash, auto-soak and 3 extra rinses. My dad didn't see the blood stain again. It was gone. I used 2 pods for good measure, along with arm and hammer scent boosters in purifying waters and downy fabric softener in the bliss scent.

I use powdered detergent so I won’t have to worry. Don’t know why people are doing this so called Tide challenge but all this is doing is making me more and more wise to NOT eat detergent. I don’t buy into these latest trends most of which can be foolish if not dangerous.

Jerome, can you please do me a favor, stop beating on a dead horse along to posting the same thing over and over and over and over again. You literally keep on posting on old threads in the deluxe forum index about the old GE Filter Flo machines so on and so forth or how people don’t use common sense, it’s getting kind of old. Even kept on bugging me non stop in the comments section on making videos of the 1963 Whirlpool Imperial dryer I have and kept on explaining on how I was limited on storage but persisted on anyways, even bugged my friend Richard as well and even bugged me about making a video of the Frigidaire dishwasher I have which is newer.

Hi Sean, I couldn’t agree more but it’s a little ironic coming from you. We have a loss members like Martin yogi tunes because of your continuous post about your turquoise, whirlpools and your halo if he dryers. Just think of how many times you’ve posted about that time dry top-of-the-line Maytag dryer you created it’s a very nice thing, but it doesn’t deserve 30 posts

There is no point in repeatedly posting the same thing from anybody,

John

Hi John, I’ll admit I do post a lot about the customized Maytag dryer I put together this spring along with the ‘63 WP MK12 set, but I like to give people an idea what I am talking about. I’ve read many threads over the years (even before I joined AW) and some people mentioned they had a rare and unique machine but had no photos of them, I know some people aren’t very tech savvy which is understandable but I just like to be honest and show what I have. I feel that if I weren’t to post any photos, I feel like I am being dishonest and anyone on the internet could claim they have a dozen rare machine in their collections or claim they have seen every automatic washer ever made.

Maybe I should devote more time and energy to making more videos of my machines (can’t make any videos on the ‘63 MK12 until the timer is sorted out) since I am not too far off from 1,000 subscribers on YouTube and once you have over a thousand subscribers on YT, you will be eligible for monetization.

Technically I have been ‘toning it down’ for the past 200 posts or so and yes there have been a few blips here and there but am considering just not arguing with anyone anymore, would rather devote that time and energy towards something else as mentioned above.
