Are you a TOP or SIDE

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Ok..I like getting my hands wet and yet I like to see the tumble action of the clothes thrashing together..... I had many good memories with a Top loader...the front/side is really new to me these days.... Hummm..I guess I am Versatile :-0

Well, my preference is side, I feel personally they are far superior. But, get me around a pulsating GM Frigidaire, and I'm a top.

Basically I would be TL-but like as in vacuum cleaners would like to have a GOOD STURDY FL machine for my collection.I am having difficulty selecting one-the new ones have service and durablility issues-and their high cost.

I'm Thoroughly Versatile

Although currently I can't claim to be a top kind of guy (OK, everybody who knows me well, really I'm not lying) I'm looking to change that if I can get my partner to cooperate ;-)

I've arrived at the conclusion that I don't like tackling towels from the side. They need to be topped and made to submit to a deep penetrating and thorough cleaning, and I'm working on getting another laundry connection arranged so I can facilitate the appropriate treatment from a top that hefty contestants such as towels require.

Is there a

"Let's not archive this thread"

button? Or does Samantha have to wave her magic wand?

LOL LOL LOL.

So what type of top-loader will you be getting, Ralph?

There may be a vintage center dial machine in my future. I'm sure if our DG806 hadn't screeched to a halt a dozen or so years ago, we'd still have it along with the companion (though further down the trim line) washer, which I do miss hearing in action.

Towels, be warned. The big guns are coming--and please note I used an "o" not a "u" even though the warning applies for both ;-)

TOP TOP TOP!

Neverending to say... A CARICA DALL'ALTO!

Horizontal axis would be better than vertical one but both are the most naturally way to make the clothes indeed dropping inside down.

Side

I like my front loading Maytag.

While I've had both, I like the front loader because they can hold more (typically). Since I'm stuck with only 24", I hate the 'skinny-mini' machines because it just takes forever to do laundry.

Besides, I think the front-loaders look better in my place.
