I wandered into a Mexican supermarket here in Indianapolis yesterday and discovered HUNDREDS of bags of Ariel with phosphates in different sizes (made for use in Latin America). If you're in the Midwest, it might be worth your time to make a trip to stock up! I personally don't care for the scent, but I know a lot of folks like it.

In the same store I also discovered hundreds of bars of Zote soap, both pink and white. I've seen it online but never used it. Anybody have any opinions on Zote, either pink or white? It was 50 cents a bar, so I think I might try some. I've always been partial to Fels-Naptha.

Zote is very soft. I had some once and tried to grate it, but it turned into a mess, clogging up the grater. Every now and then someone will come into the laundromat with a bar, cut it up and throw it in with a load.

I was horrified recently to find a bar of Zote in the shower at the gym! Somebody must have some really tough, oily skin!

Zote is all over the discount stores in these parts. I believe I saw it at the 99 Cents Only Store last time I was there.

Never have tried it. When in Mexico, I buy bars of "Don Maximo" which is rough textured like "Lava" hand soap, with a grooved surface that I presume is supposed to mimic a washboard. Have not seen "Don Maximo" in any stores here, not even the Mexican supermarkets.
