Hi all i was at walmart this weekend and i noticed that ariel wit downy softener.has anyone tried this version yet?

Haven't tried it, but I don't recommend using detergents with a built-in softener. Detergent cleans by stripping dirt off clothing fibers and keeping it in suspension, and liquid fabric softeners work the opposite way: by binding to fibers. If you combine the two, the net result is that at least some dirt will wind up staying on or in your clothes.
Also, one loses most of the softening power in the rinse cycle(s).

hello Kirby. you may with to read this old thread on Mexican detergents. very informative.
never tried Ariel, but i did try Foca for the first time due to good reports here. I am very happy with it, and will buy it again.

I tried it
and was not impressed with the results. I'm glad I got the smallest container. I ended up doing a load of towels over and using a softener dryer sheet. The towels came out sort of rough like no softener had been used at all.
