Hi all was looking at some of the posts that said the phosphate formula is no longer available in there areas. Here in Tucson it is still sold at walmart and food city, the bag has a warning that says the product contains phosphate.

I love the scent of Mexican Ariel detergent and use it a lot. There hasn't been a phosphate formula available in my area of Minnesota for over a year. It still seems to work well, although I have very soft water, which makes the job easier for detergents.

Phosphates in Areil . . .

I believe it's only been in the past few months that Ariel has changed it's formula to the non-phosphated version. It used to be that the Ariel purchased in the box was the non-phopshate version, but the version in the bag contained phosphates. Now even the bag version (what's currently being produced, that is) no longer contains phosphates.

It sounds like you've found some old stock, which is good. Once the old stuff runs out, it will then be replaced by the non-phosphated version. As a result, I now lean towards Foca when I want a mexican detergent in my daily wash.
