I have an Asko W640. I'm very happy with it in general, but have often felt it would be better if it had a slightly higher water level. It's a fully electronic machine, so I can control termperature and spin speed without a problem. It crossed my mind that water level might be a programmable parameter that a technician could access. I'm therefore wondering if anybody knows if this can be done. Does anyone perhaps have access to a service manual for this machine?

Almost, but not quite

Hi Chris,

I figured the electronic machines would be a harder nut to crack :-)

The Retrevo link is good, but only has the brochures and installation instructions that came with the machine. I was hoping to track down a service manual on the off-chance that it may have programming information in it. Hopefully there's something there that could adjust the water levels.

Any thoughts?

Nick

Hi! It's not possible to adjust the waterlevel on these machines. I agree that some of them should use some more water.

I have an ASKO W6562. I can increase the water level by repeatedly pressing the start/stop button:

-Start the machine and let it fill.
-When the filling stops, press the start/stop button till the display says "stop".
-Press the start/stop button again and another 5 litres or so of water will be added.
-You can repeat this until the water level is about halfway the drum, after that the safety feature takes control and starts emptying the drum.

This works only in the normal wash program, not the gentle/woolens program.
