Does anybody on this site have one of the Asko XXL Dishwashers that has the four racks? I like the flexability of the machine. Wonder if anyone has experience using one.

It seems no taller than a standard 85 cm dishwasher, I wonder where you can put "big" dishes and tall pans!

What an excellent idea.....similar to the Maytag with the 3 levels and racks, i liked having this machine which I left with the last house, i don't think that design is made anymore, my brother has a bosch with the top rack that comes out for tall pots and pans and a "top rack only" wash cycle, flexability in cycles and rack movement makes it possible for all sorts of loading...

Nice machine ..... not sold in Italy

Gabriele this is a 86 cm tall tub (talltubs height can be from miele 84.5 to electrolux 87 cm , without countertop). Those 3 or 4 cm really make difference.

The two ASKO XXL middle racks (sprayed by still nozzles) can be removed separately or both so that even 39 cm diametre (serving) plates fit in the lower rack

It's a nice machine - all spray arms are SS made - but in europe it is sold only in SE NO DK NL BE and, Maytag rebadged, in UK. In this pic upper rack is raised to the highest setting.

To have a clue : Miele G2XXX are the lowest talltubs ( 5mm lower than freestanding DW with worktop). Those models without the 3rd cutlery rack can fit in the meanwhile 27cm plates in the lower rack and 28cm plates in the upper rack

Smeg too produces talltubs. Until last spring "Whirlpool for IKEA" talltubs were made by SMEG. Current ones are E'lux

Ciao !
Carlo

I have asko Dishwashers

When my Kitchen Aid died I went on the hunt for a new used dishwasher. At Salvation army I found an Asko and got it for 10.00 It was practically brand new and gave me faithful service for years till it had a short in the touch pad. I replaced it with a tall tub Asko and I have found nothing in the American line up that can come close to cleanliness, economy and quietness. I also have two in my catering kitchen. I am also not a pre rinser but everything comes out clean with only using 4.5 gallons of water and 1 tbs of detergent one in each cup. I recently saw this model also and when the one in the house dies this will be the replacement
