Quite off topic, but I thought about this earlier today.
Each week I visit the gym 3 to 4 days after work, for about 60 to 90 minutes. A good chunk of that time is on the treadmill running 5K's. I'm not too fond of watching television at home but I do find that certain programing does make it easier to pass the time, and the miles.
Lately I've been on a HUGE Cash Cab kick, since they run 2 hours solid of it from 4 to 6 PM on Discovery. Keeps the mind occupied with great trivia and you can play along with the participants with ease. Before that I was enjoying Mad Money but found Jim to be getting a bit annoying. Days of our Lives actually hampers my mile times, so I try to steer clear of it. Also local news programing pops up from time to time and have found that I enjoy ABC Channel 9, KCRG, out of Cedar Rapids more than the local station here in Waterloo, KWWL - NBC 7. I've grown a crush on one of the news gals @ 5.
So - what do you watch at the gym?
Ben
