OMG:

I just wet my pants. That house is a dream come true for a techie.
But what a headache to keep all those electronics running, but it would be major fun.
The stereo does appear to be SHERWOOD.
Gee, did someone FAMOUS live there when that building was built? Someone had a boatload of money to afford that stuff.
Those big knobs with the squiggles are indeed dimmers. I used to work for a bank that had the 1952 dream kitchen built into it. It had those same dimmers to dim all the starburst ceiling lamps. Them be big honkin' dimmers.
Man, if I had the money I'd buy it as-is-as-shown.

P/S Estate Sale

TwintubeDexter, I also live in Palm Springs, Is there any way you could divulge
the where abouts of the house, I would love to see it. Or if there is an estate sale, please give me a date.

Thanks,  Simpsomatic

Big "honking" dimmer-think those were AUTOTRANSFORMER(Variac) dimmers-this was used before the solid state Triac based ones. The transformer ones need like TWO "J" boxes to hold them-and they were HEAVY.--but worked.

Maybe this was a model home

Builders will often load up a model home with every available option, as those options are big profit generators.

Of course this particular house could be in a neighborhood of all-custom homes.

I remember luxurious, pricey homes being advertised in Town & Country Magazine that touted "beautiful custom St. Charles kitchen"...the closest thing I saw were the metal cabinets in our first place...a 950 sq foot house in Cupertino CA...they were funky Crosley units with an integrated sink...more like a "St. Chuck" kitchen.

I recently bought a new-in-box Honeywell weather station with missing parts (missing the outdoor thermometer and the knob for the temperature) and the only other one I could find when I searched for images on Google happens to be on this website!

I wish I could get these parts for mine!
