These wooden blocks - and others- were bought many years ago by my mother (still firing at 85!) so that we wouldn't have to pay someone to make the wringer squeeze hard enough to be effective. They are support blocks for the wringer shaft to fit through, and would inevitably wear out, meaning the spring had to be tightened, but it would only go so far.
Now she has an auto, and I found these at the back of the laundry cupboard.
Is anyone interested?
I don't know if the old wringer machines are of interest to anyone anywhere, but they would be fairly easy to post off, and before I attempt with Ebay, will offer them to the experts..
