Australian Simpson Wringer Parts

These wooden blocks - and others- were bought many years ago by my mother (still firing at 85!) so that we wouldn't have to pay someone to make the wringer squeeze hard enough to be effective. They are support blocks for the wringer shaft to fit through, and would inevitably wear out, meaning the spring had to be tightened, but it would only go so far.

Now she has an auto, and I found these at the back of the laundry cupboard.

Is anyone interested?

I don't know if the old wringer machines are of interest to anyone anywhere, but they would be fairly easy to post off, and before I attempt with Ebay, will offer them to the experts..

I dont think any of our Australian fans own a Simpson Wringer. Gizmo and Mayfan have some Automatic Simpsons, with Leon having a rather comprehensive collection.

If I OWNED a garage (as opposed to renting...) I would fill it with Simpsons and park in the street!

Hey there guys - only new to this - but have been a huge fan of this site for ages now...

Would you believe that I have two Simpson Roll-Stop Wringers in my Shed! They are both operational however one needs some work done on the pump... During a spell of being without a washer (only for a period of a couple of weeks luckily!!!) my partner and I had to use one of the wringers for all our daily washing! Me - absolutely loved it! Brought back many happy memories of washing with my Grandmother when I was only a child.... However - the husband - well he wasn't terribly impressed - however did make comment that it was much better than visiting the local laundromat... Got the new Maytag Centennial - and the wringers - well - both stuffed back in the shed... True collectors out there hopefully will still keep these old 'beasts' going...
