I haven't seen a lit tub shot of a Whirlpool in more than 25 years. My aunt had a 1967 Imperial 80 (I think that was the model) in Coppertone with the arched console light. One time she was doing laundry at night, and I remember how cool it was to watch. I loved that the console light also lit the interior.
I am so happy for you, that is an rare and awesome beauty, i can remember my Grandmother had a washer like that one, except hers did not have the wood grain, but did have the Chrome cap on the Agitator. I would give ANYTHING!!! To have one like that.
Since I make much use out of Online.Movavi.com, I can also convert Youtube, Google, and some other online streams into computer files. Therefore, if you do anticipate displaying such video demos, I am looking forward to these if and when you wish to share. Many thanks!--Laundry Shark
Very Cool Find!
You don't see these very often.
I see the dryer every once in awhile, but they are usually in very bad shape. The dryer however was very cool. Loved the door that you could swing open, or drop down.
The gas version of the dryer was super! Big time BTU's. I don't remember the actual BTU's, but I think it was something like 40,000? Someone here will know.
John does have a dryer in DC. His actually came from Gwinnett, Georgia. And it is gas.
Great Find. It is in awesome shape!!!
