AW.org request/suggestion

So I was thinking after reading through several posts, would it be viable for use to have a dedicated "For Sale" section on the site for things like C/L ads and other leads?

I just notice that there a lot of mixed C/L ad's and For Sale things that float around between the forums, and it would be nice if there was a separate forum just to browse through what people put in there.

I've heard this before. At some point later on in the year I would like to reformat the forums a bit. My thoughts are to keep Imperial and Deluxe exactly as is but create new forums to break out the Super Forum such as a Refrigerator Forum, Cooking Appliances and Recipes Forum, Small Appliances Forum, Automobile Fourm, etc. In that case I could certainly add a For Sale forum.

This is not something that I will take on until the current project I'm working on for the site is launched and completed, I've been working on a completely brand new and quite extensive feature (not related to the Discuss-o-Mat forums) for the site. It will take about six months worth of work and I'm about 50% completed now. More to come on that as we get closer to my forcasted launch for sometime in the spring.

Sounds like something interesting is coming down the pipe. I know how much work goes into improvements, so it is appreciated for sure. It's always good if it's something that can be incorporated into an already coming update, which sounds like that may be what's going to happen.

Re: the changing of the Super forum: sounds great.  I was thinking that to save yourself a little work, you might want to just have a "Big Appliances" forum and a "Small Appliances" forum rather than separate refrigerator, cooking, and small appliance forums. Then again, you could go crazy and have a recipe forum, detergent forum, interior decorating forum, etc.

 

Whatever you do will make me (and everyone else) happy. I'm just glad this forum is here, it has helped me tremendously.

Please don't make the new forums too restrictive....I like being able to scan through the three that are there...(the original ones)....and quickly see if there is anything I want to see...

An appliance manual section would be cool along with a section for sales literature.
