I watched an episode of Bachelor Father this weekend and the plot involved the neice (name?) preparing a roast to prove she's worthy wife material to her fiance's parents.

Plot thickens (thins?) when she sets the frozen roast on top of a top-loading washer, the doorbell rings (in-laws) and of course the roast falls inside. Problem is, a roast inside a top-loader isn't as funny as watching it inside a front-loader, so call the prop department I guess and have them attach a top-load door/top panel to a front load machine.

Here's a cell phone shot.

Of course, if she is handling a frozen roast when guests arrive, she is off schedule from the start line. Lots of shows show breakdowns in continuity. For me, the most troubling is near the end of the movie Dave in which he, as President, is loaded into the ambulance on Capitol Hill after faking a cerebral event, then winds up at the hospital dressed in his street clothes in the passenger seat with his Secret Service Agent driving the ambulance while someone is unloaded from the rear. A lot of the behind the scenes action is not plausible nor is it explained. Be that as it may, fooling around with and mangling appliances is not funny nor does it withstand scrutiny.

Niece's name in "Bachelor Father"...

Peter, the Asian house boy (keeper) would say "Mr. Greg not home, you want talk to niece Kelly?" Television dialog, along with everything else, has changed.
