Kenwood Chefs.....

Hey Jeff :).

The A901 was a very popular model, it ran from 1976 for well over 10 years with minor cosmetic/colour changes. Sadly it was just about the last Chef model that was really built to last - Just like everything Kenwood lessened the quality of later models to cut costs :(

The 1st Chef was released in 1949 and im lucky enough to own a very early A700 model :)

Of course ;)

It is indeed- It sounded far too good not to try! - You are right about the batter, it tastes exactly like chocolate ice cream lol.

I think I may be Mr popular at work tomorrow!!!

UK Thing!!!

Hi Seamus, We must have been busy at the same time!!!, interesting bakeware you have there, how do you rate the silicone trays??

Jeff, it must be a Brit thing using the loaf pan...Lol, I had a marzipan cake cooking in the ring pan... I used my 1960`s Kenwoof Major A707, certainly makes light work...I`ll try the booze cake next....

Cheers, Mike

Looks good!

wow, my cake is being made 'round the world!!!

Very cool, I think I will try making it in loaf pans next time.

Mike,

I have a Bosch oven, in white, but further exactly the same as your Siemens. I noticed you are using the convection setting to bake a cake. Do you prefer that over the conventional setting?

I'll get my old Braun mixer on the counter this weekend to bake this cake. I bought a new tube pan because the one I already had is too small.
