This will be the third summer since we've moved into our house. We finally were able to get the backyard the way we wanted it. First is a picture of the backyard when we moved in. Theres a big difference. First is the back of the house when we bought it. as you can see the awining had been knocked down.

Forget the Awning

Just send me the GE Americana refrigerator.  Its amazing what setting a couple fridges on the patio can do for the whole yard.  Quite transformational and it had to be a ton of work.

Congratulations Justin, your yard and patio area looks fantastic!!!  It is easy to see that you have but a tremendous amount of work into it.

Great job Justin! You guys have really transformed the rear of the house, and yard to be a nice place to entertain and enjoy your free time. Congratulations!

The pool is a 4 foot above ground that we sunk 2 feet into the ground. Also the hotpoint is not going to be out there. We just got the ge today and haven't had time to rearrange the fridges.

Great job, you wouldn't know it was the same backyard..

btw what's that thing on the top of the fridge? looks like a cooler of some sort and are those swamp coolers on the roofs of the houses out back?

The restoration is GREAT! Did you get Robert to come to your place and twitch his nose? :)

Is the pool being used? I like the idea of it being sunken a few feet.

petek: Yes that is a vintage swamp cooler ontop of the hotpoint. Attached is a pic of it. And the house behind has a rooftop ac unit on it. Around here you'll When we remodeled our house we put the furnace and the hotwater heater back in the original room that was made for them with the ac unit on the side of the house on the ground. We eventually will be getting a swamp cooler as well to hang on the side of the house.

franksdad: Neither one of us are landscapers, but steve used to work in construction.

dirtybuck: Unfortuneatly robert did not come and twitch his nose. I wish he would have though. Less work and less money. LOL. And yes we do use the pool as well. Try to take a dip every night. And with the private back yard we always go without clothes. :)

PassatDoc : I'm not sure quite yet how much it costs. We just got the ge and it hasn't even been plugged in yet and the hotpoint has only been out there a couple weeks.
