My Mom's newer Electrolux tank vacuum is giving a bag full indicator even though the bag isn't full. The motor won't run because of this. She put a new bag in it, but it continues to display the indicator. I attempted to disassemble it, but cannot figure out how to open it up. The only thing I can see that it senses if the bag is full is a tiny hole in the bag inlet tube (front door of the vac) it connects to a tiny viny hose that goes inside the vacuum. I imagine there is a sensor inside the vacuum attached to the other end of this tube that tells the vac that that bag is full (reduced air flow), and that sensor has gone bad.
Do any of you all know how to get into the late model Electrolux (Aerus) vacuums, or at least tell me how to clear the bag full indicator? Her vacuum looks like this one:
