The other thread on banana bread has fallen into the archives. I made a banance bread this morning using my mom's recipe which is simple to make and the most moist banana bread that I have ever tried.
Cream 1/2 cup shortening
Add 1 cup sugar
Add 2 eggs
Mix well.
Add 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt
Add 3 ripe bananas
Mix well and pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 325 deg. for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
