Hi,

I literally just picked this up off the side of the road this weekend and cleaned it up. I started it up this afternoon and was able to do a load of dishtowels quite successfully. I know it is a Beatty washing machine produced out of Fergus, Ontario and I believe it may date from between 1946 and 1951. I was just wondering if anyone might have some info they could share with me. Thanks! (PS I do have the lid for it but I just forgot to put it back on when the pic was taken. Of note, it has the original wooden bushings in the wringers)

Nice washer.
I can't give you much information, but I do live 30 minutes from Fergus. My great uncle worked for Beatty until he fell off a ladder and broke both his knees. He always walked like a duck after. The factory is still there and is now a flea market. I could send you a picture if you would like.
