It may be a little late to ask about the 8/10 Picture of the Day, but I just wondered if any of these models are still known to exist. I love the gold on white lettering of the control panel (like a DeSoto!)

Blackstone seems like it might be a regional brand-I have never seen one in the Montana,wyoming,dakotas area-only blackstone I ever saw was a lone machine at a Laundromat in ohio in 1978.

Blackstones were sold in the South, their used to be a Blackstone coin op laundry in Asheboro NC.

I missed the picture you're referring to. Was it this model? If so, there are quite a few of these 350s floating around.
No, Fred, I think it was a little bit newer than that one (which is a peach!)
This washer had the stainless steel top and washbasket, but the controls are on the backsplash, which is white with gold lettering. The cycle selector on the left, and smaller knobs for temperature and speed selection are in a black-painted section in the center of the panel.
The brochure emphasizes that you can choose any combination of hot/warm/cold wash water, warm/cold rinse water, normal/slow agitation, and normal/slow spin. You can also dial up delicate and wash-and-wear cycles.
The brochure is dated November 1959, so maybe this was a 1960 model.

Yes, thank you, Fred, it was the 75S. The pic in the brochure kinda makes it look like the tub is stainless, but apparently not.
The 60S looks good too with the big colorful dial.
Doing an image search for "Blackstone washer," most of the relevant hits come from this site, but none of them resembled these models.
About Blackstone's dealer network, I never saw any around here, either. There used to be a whole lot of mom and pop dealers and I can recall some in the Seventies that carried even obscure brands like Kelvinator, but not Blackstone.
