Beautiful 1962 Frigidaire refrigerator in Coppertone - $60 (North Portland)

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

There was a time when Coppertone

was EVERYWHERE. Every fridge we ever had until the late 70s seemed to be copper tone. My dad even used to take in friends' washers and dryers to do custom "edged" copper tone if the units were white or avocado. The 60s and 70s....what an era.

I think that changed in 1965, probably for the introduction of the 1966 "K" line. I had a 1964 range that had no borders. My documents don't say when the border color was introduced but it was changed from a darker to a lighter color during the 1966 "K" production but the center color was still Aztek Copper. The 1969 models got the darker "Colonial Copper"
