Well my silly mother washed a blanket that was not machine washable in her TOL Beko last week. It left the machine with most of the blanket under the drum and in the pipes and pumps (powerjet model) blocking everything totally including the drain.

So today myself and Lavamatjon will be over to Derby to strip it down and tub out job to get the thing cleaned out. You can't even turn the drum by hand its so thick with blanket remains underneath lol

I've done a complete strip down of this model as I have the same one and its nicely put together for working on.

Will post some pics of it soon.

model

Its a wma745s. I have the wma765s . I bought the Beko for mum and dad to replace the Hoover Classica when the kitchen was refitted. They are well pleased with it and after using it myself when i looked after the house while they were on hols,I got the 1600 spin one myself which is about 4 yrs old. Love it. Beko never advertised the fact it had a powerjet so that was a nice suprise.

congrats on a good repair.

yep - appears to have left a lovely red rugsworth of fluff inside the machine.

I remember, when at university, one of my housemates washed one of her throwy, shawly things into the hoover classica we had.

Bad move - machine wasnt damaged, but the shawl was.

what was once a very expensive garment had turned into nothing but a latice framework, as all the fluff, which gave it its lovely feel and look, had been washed and spun off.

we were all in stitches, but heather was a wee bit upset - the picture of her taking this garment out of the washer and holding it up in the air and being able to see through it! priceless!!!

p.s wuld post a picture of the Beko I am forced to use, but it would horrify you.

I did not know that Beko machines offered a powerjet. It is a pretty cool feature.

I have a Hootag ( A Maytag badged Hoover front loader for the Australian market ) and it has a power jet. I like how it gets all the detergent out of the bottom of the drum and worked into the load.

All the Electrolux front loaders in Australia have Jetsystem, but the Simpson models (made by Electrolux) dont.

What other models have a recirculating jet?

Powerjet

Yes Beko did not put any info on the specs of this machine that it has a powerjet. It was only this model that was fitted with it- WMA745 and 765. As far as I know current models don't have one. I guess the main powerjet machines in the UK were the Zanussi, AEG, Hoover/Candy machines though Hoover Candy seem to not use them now. It does distribute all the detergent very well and helps with rinsing, plus It makes for more fun!

Hi .
Great Beko you have there( the powerjet model )
Please could you tell me if you know whether -Beko WMXD760W has a powerjet also..
I am considering buying this model however there is no indication that it has a powerjet.
Thank you and good luck with your " operation blanket" restore.
Regards. Louis.

Powerjet

Louis I really don't know about the WMXD760W. I've checked the parts lists for this model but the pump system is not currently listed so I can't tell. You'd have too look at the machine and check for the port in the door gasket.

Hi Steve.
Thank you for replying.
That Beko machine/model Im after is only available on the internet. I think its dicontinued now but its the one I want.
So, buying it without actually seeing it, is what I will be doing.
If it has a powerjet then its a bonus.
Many Thanks again.
Regards.
Louis.

Mum bought a 7kg/1200 spin version of this machine badged Fisher & Paykel. Once the initial issue of not pumping out was fixed, it has been fantastic. Has deep rinses and is incredibly quiet.

WMXD760

Louis, i've done a bit more digging looking at parts and it appears the WMXD760 does have a powerjet as the replacement pump is listed as fitting the WMXD760 WMA745 and 765 with the twin pump unit.
