Beko washing machine

Hello all

My cousins Beko is only 6 months old, it was in storage since new packed. Now its been 6 months and its really really loud, everyone is scared but still using it.
The videos sound isn't as good as it being live.
What do you think the problem is?
Bearings, drum etc.
Drum still goes round though.

couldnt make the sound out properly or see the machine properly.

few things to check, obviuos one but i dont think so as the drum seems to be bouncing about from what i could see, are the transit brackets still in place.

another one to check to see if the spider is damaged or the bearings have failed, for the bearings with an empty drum put you hand in and turn the drum, if it moves quietly and and you dont feel no grinding then its not the bearings.

second one, to check to see if the spider has failed, on the rim of the drum try moving it up and down slightly to see if there is any play/movement if so it possibly could be that.

another one to check if its been severley moved about, ie on its side, check under the machine and make sure the struts holding the drum up have not come loose and check the tension springs on the top of the machine, you will have to remove the lid off the machine to check this,

if its none of those things it could be something trapped in between the wash drum and the outer tub coins etc

ive checked filter, and the usual etc, no coins nothing, i'm the one who took bolts out so can't be that. When i turn drum its ok, but when i shake it a bit, its like stones grinding, must be spider then. Its really loud though, the video won't do it justice. lol

Some machines use bolts and also styrofoam pads, usually interted in the bottom of it

it was ok till last week, its been used daily for 6 months, we took all foam pads etc out.

the only other thing it could possibly, it could be one of the concrete weights has worked itself loose, its hard to diagonose faults unless i actually see the machine, please check to see if the weights have come loose and if they have then please dont use the machine until they have been tightened. if they work themselves loose completly they could smash throught the machine and cause a seriuos accident. infact i know its hard especially when you have a large family and loads of washing, please stop using the machine if the noise is as loud as you say, its dangerous, not so much on the wash programme but when its on spin a few things can happen that sould result in personal injury.

if its the weights thats loose, then i should tighten it, as you told me- the drum turns and its okay so not bearings. Thanks a lot.
If its not weights then it is the spider, is it worth repairing? (they are saying no, let it go bust then new one)

Personally if its spider/bearings i would just replace the whole machine as its a beko lol not the best make machine to get, the cost of repair and labour etc would prob come to aorund same price as another beko and then you run the risk of having something else go on it...

I couldnt even recommend a budget replacement machine as i have had 3 different makes of cheapo machines and they have all been sent back within a week of getting them and i am still using me faithfull old hotpoint which i am glad i never threw out lol if you were in the liverpool area i would have gladly looked at the machine and seen what i could of done. if you have tried everything i have suggested then it maybe worthwhile getting a free call out to see what the problem is, i really think its either the weights come loose or the tension springs on the top of the drum.

if your cousin, has to continue to use the machine try and select a programme with a shorter spin as i have seen first hand what happens when the drum totally breaks free and all i can say is i am glad i wasnt in the room when it happened

ok, thanks for info, i'll have to check for weights being loose or not, if not then it surely is spider then new one...
maybe from ebay as they're on a budget with recession, hitting many.
